The ALIFAR project is established within the frame of the Departments of Excellence Program (2023-2027) of the Ministry of University and Research and has the ambition to characterize the Department of Food and Drug Sciences as a hub of excellence in the research and education in molecular sciences applied to the discovery, development and technological transfer of products for health and well-being, from drugs to medical devices up to functional foods and nutraceuticals. With the ALIFAR project, the Department of Food and Drug Sciences aspires to emerge as an example of interdisciplinary integration and methodological development, and to become a pole of attraction for students and researchers at an international level.
